DATE: 09/19/2015 ( Sat 3:00PM – 7:00PM PDT )
LOCATION: 2705 Barrymore/ Top of Solstice Canyon
Please give yourself 45minutes to an hour to arrive at 2:45pm for a 3:45pm showtime. Please check-in at my sound table, stage right, and we will put your child in show groups and escort your child to the face painting area. The children will be warmed-up and face-painted pre-show. You will relax and picnic in your seating area. Please also set out your camping chairs and blankets in the audience area at this time. (no tents/shade provided)
Please tell your guests to arrive at 3:30pm for a 4pm showtime. There is food and drink to enjoy before and during the show.
Please be mindful that this is a generously-donated private property. There are neighbors, and there are winding roads to navigate. These are things to keep in mind as we celebrate together.
Please bring cash or checks. It is a remote area in Solstice Canyon, so we can not take credit cards, unfortunately.
Keep in mind the high costs of dance recitals. Our Suggested Donation is only $15 per person/$10 children. FOCUSfish is a 501c3 non-profit.
Parking will be easy if we all get there, follow directions from our parking attendant volunteers, and then all leave together. Shuttle available for those who need it. More info to follow…
Here are the directions that you need to use and that you need to share with your friends and family coming in different cars. The GPS is not reliable up there! Trust me on this one.
PCH North of Pepperdine, Right at the Union 76 gas station, Corral Canyon Road, to the El Nido sign, left on Seabreeze Drive, Seabreeze to Vista Mar Drive (most navs suggest you take Searidge, but I recommend staying on Seabreeze), left on Vista Mar Dr, up up and up, Vista Mar becomes Barrymore as you go up and around the white house with the geodesic yurt, take Barrymore past the Meteoros Estate, all the way to the end, past the turkeys and horses, through the gate to 2705 Barrymore.

The 2nd Annual FLYathon is raising money for our partnerships with the special needs communities from COACHART, YACHAD, The Painted Turtle, and LAUSD. Please help us reach more families dealing daily with serious medical conditions.

To the Friends & Families of FOCUSfish~
Thanks to the generosity of our Angels and Student Families, FOCUSfish is growing into a viable, sustainable non-profit. With new expansion into the East Side of Los Angeles, and talks with Children’s Hospital about bringing our aerial program to children in need of HOPE, Year 8 is looking UP.
FOCUSfish was able to continue its partnerships with YACHAD (families of children with Autism and other special needs) and COACHART (families of children with terminal illness). Because of these long-term, successful partnerships, we are able to more frequently serve these families, taking both programs to a monthly schedule.
FOCUSfish is adding yet another Title I school to its roster mid-year, keeping student bodies MOVING in their school day.
This Winter-Spring, FOCUSFish continues to bring its performance fitness culture to our local youth. Kristy Beauvais, Executive Director, will be choreographing aerial feats for Pippin with the Topanga Youth Services, and Aladdin for Class Act and Topanga Elementary School. Kristy will also be directing and producing the Oakwood and St. James Circus Intensives, again this year.
Our exciting star-studded fundraising gala is in the planning stages for a September debut. Look out for more exciting news about the musical line-up set to ROCK THE TOWER!
FOCUSfish is so grateful to touch the lives of over 5000 families in the Greater Los Angeles area. But, there is still so much to do and so many more people in need of inspiring, healthy programming.
We know you have so many options for charitable giving, as there are people in need all over the world. But if our growing, little charity has flown into your world and changed the lives of your family, think of what we could do to change the world for the better… TOGETHER.
Please help us buy more equipment to outfit our school programs, purchase quality mats for our circus tent and camps, bring our circus tent out of storage and drop into a community in need, and reach 2000 more families in 2015!
If your company does matching grants, just let Kristy know and she will provide the necessary paperwork for your end-of-year giving.
Click on the options below or write a check to FOCUSfish before the end of the year to get your tax-deductible donation in for 2014.
Thank you for all that you do and for believing in the FLYING FISH!
With Love and Gratitude,
Board President, FOCUSFish

The first ever FOCUSFish FLYathon has already raised over $5000 for our public school physical education programming. The event was a spirited success, as kids took their skills testing seriously, while managing to smile the entire time as their challenge culminated in harness flying with our very own C. Derrick Jones! Special FOCUSfish friends participated, like trapeze artist Tia Didden. And FLYERS even brought their own fan clubs to cheer them along. Thank you to everyone who participated and donated. xo
